About me · outside the lab

Hi, I’m Asmit.

I grew up in India and now live in Los Angeles, where I’m doing a PhD at USC. This page is the part of me that isn’t on my CV.

Travel

Solo travel

Alone is not lonely. Some of the people I remember most are strangers I met for a few hours on the road.

Photography

Behind the camera

I helped run Pixxel, the photography club at IIT Patna, organizing workshops and competitions.

Mathematics

OptiMatX

I founded and led a mathematics club at IIT Patna that grew past 50 members, mentoring newer students along the way.
